CDV vignette bust image of a bearded Confederate soldier wearing a medium-colored shell jacket with a matching military vest beneath. He also wears a plaid shirt with a solid white collar and dark bowtie.
Contrast and clarity are excellent. Paper and mount are also very nice. Bottom front corners of the mount are marked BENDANN and BALTIMORE.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for BENDANN BROS, 205 BALTIMORE ST. There is also some collector information at bottom.
Photo is from the collection of the late William A. Turner. [AD] [PH:L]
