CDV is a vignette bust view of an unidentified bearded Confederate soldier wearing a light-colored jacket with a dark collar. The two visible buttons are three-piece buttons but the device on the face cannot be made out.
Contrast and clarity are excellent. Mount and paper have minor surface dirt.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for T. F. SALTSMAN… NASHVILLE, TENN.
Image is from the collection of the late William A. Turner. [ad][ph:L]
