Iron mold to cast bullets for the Burnside carbine. This casts the two-groove type with the dished base. This is a lip cast type of mold where the lead is poured into the cavity through the edge of the base plug. Mold is in excellent condition with a “W” sub-inspector’s stamp on one side. Approximately 6 ½” long.
This is a scarce bullet mold in wonderful condition. [jet] [ph:L]
