Outdoor view of a large group of GAR veterans lined up on a street in Lockport, New York. Many are wearing their membership badges and a large GAR ribbon of some kind. At center are three sets of stacked muskets and a small signal cannon with caisson draped in the American flag. Four more muskets lean against the cannon. The street in front of them appears to be paved with brick and is complete with horse manure! The group poses in front of two theaters, the “MAJESTIC” and the “GOLDEN PALACE.” The item meas. approx. 9.50 x 11.75. The photo is mounted on a cardboard backing. Two corners of the backing are chipped but none of this affects the photograph. Back of the card is stamped with the partial name of the photographer and “53 Main St., Lockport, N.Y.”
