Tin shaving mug in good condition with no dents or holes. There is light surface rust and dirt with minor pitting throughout. The cup is marked with a letter “R” on the bottom and one side. This looks to have been done with either black ink or paint.
With the cup is a cased razor. The case bears the initials “S.G.S” in period ink on the inside surface which is visible when the case is opened. The razor has a thin bone handle which is chipped in three places. The blade is marked near the hinge with “MANUFACTURED BY WADE & BUTCHER SHEFFIELD” while the face of the blade is marked “MADE EXPRESSLY FOR W. R. PENNIMAN & BRO.” Blade surface is heavily mottled.
