This singular item is unique among our inventory.
This small, hand-carved bone barrel is adorned with red and blue patriotic stripes, a paper banner that reads “LINCOLN” and inside, at the very bottom, is a small paper photo of President Abraham Lincoln. It measures 1.4” x just under 1”.
The trinket is secured to an antique brass watch fob, which has aged to a nice, mellow gold tone.
This piece may have been a campaign item, a mourning item, or an item worn to a veterans’ event or reunion. Condition and material suggest this piece dates from the Civil War or post-Civil War period.
This is a one-off chance to own a Lincoln item that no one else is likely to have in their collection. [cm][ph:L]
