This set consists of a carving knife and fork with stand.
The two tined fork meas. approx. 9.75 inches long with a squared bone handle that has yellowed some with age. Attached to the back of the fork is a fold down stand. One of the side panels of the handle has a closed crack running the length of the side. Fork is unmarked.
Knife meas. approx. 12.75 inches with a matching bone handle. The color of the bone handle matches the fork. The knife also has a closed crack on one side. Blade is marked “J. RUSSELL & CO. / GREEN RIVER WORKS.”
The Green River Works began in 1834 and lasted until a name change in 1873. [ad] [ph:L]
