Cup is somewhat similar to the Civil War issue cup in shape but it is smaller and made just a bit differently.
Cylindrical tin cup meas. approx. 4.00 inches high and is 4.00 inches across the flat bottom. It has a rolled lip with a handle attached by three rivets, two at the top and one at the bottom. Handle is stamped with “R. I. A.” for Rock Island Arsenal and is dated “1903.” The center of the handle is marked with “US.”
Cup is free of dings and dents and the surfaces has light to moderate dirt.
A nice example. [AD]
