This is a Civil War period tin ration can. Never used; does not have small round lid soldered in place. Can measures 3 ½” in diameter and is 4 ½” high. Soldered side seam. Some patches of surface rust on sides and especially bottom.
Something every soldier handled, but you never see today. [jet]
