Rosewood fife with brass endcaps. Wood is in good condition with six finger holes and minor wear around the blowhole.
Interior cork plug is missing. Brass endcaps are a bit loose due to wood shrinkage.
Fife is marked “KLEMM” over “PHILADA.”
Klemm was a well-known maker of musical instruments from the 1830’s and had several Army contracts throughout the Civil War. [ad] [ph:L]
