This is an unissued brass identification disk. The front features a central bust of George B. McClellan and reads “MAJOR GENERAL GEO. B. McCLELLAN / WAR OF 1861”. This was never stamped with a soldier’s name. However, it does have some fine-lined patterns scratched into it. On the front, under the bust is an arch and a religious-like cross. The reverse is covered with many fine “squiggles” possibly making a tree pattern. Brass has a mellow bronze color.  [jet][ph:L]
