Blanket is made of a dark brown wool with red end stripes approx. 2.50 inches wide. Overall length is 77 inches with a width of 64 inches.
The condition of the blanket is excellent. There does not appear to be any moth damage of any kind. The side edges are finished while the top and bottom edges were originally raw however someone attempted to hem one of the raw edges.
There are no visible markings on the blanket.
These blankets are known to have been issued by the State of Massachusetts to its soldiers during the Civil War. [ad] [ph:L]
