Straight legs end with simple band of hand-worked broderie anglaise embroidery. Waist 25”, length 34".

A laundry tape marked “Carl” is fixed to the waistband with flat metal staples. The bottom of the petticoat has a 1¼” hem.  A 4” deep ruffle is sewn over top the hem; a narrow decorative braid is applied to the top of this ruffle. A 17” deep flounce embellishes the lower ⅓ of the petticoat. The flounce is accented with a crocheted lace insertion, with three parallel rows of 1/16” spaced pin tucks on either side of the insertion. The flounce is finished with a 3¼” deep hem.
