Wooden box with hinged lid is stained dark brown. Interior is lined in dark blue velvet. Slots in velvet hold nine drafting instruments, two with bone handles. Brass label on lid is engraved, "Mr. Jas. S. Doran". Box measures 5.25" by 7.75". Some minor surface scratches are present.
Parallel drafting ruler is made of ebony with brass hardware. Measures 15" long. Brass fittings measure 4" long. Minor surface scratches and light wear on edges are present.
This would make an excellent display for a desk or office. [sl]
