This Westerwald salt glazed jug with handle has a cobalt scrollwork design and banding.
Westerwald stoneware is a salt glazed pottery found in the Westerwald region of Germany since the beginning of the 15th century. Some stoneware is decorated with manganese or cobalt designs, such as this piece.
Jug measures 11 ½” high by 3 ¾” at base. [sl]
