A very elegant dress made from heavy royal blue satin-striped silk faille with a watered finish. The dress features a darted bodice with round neckline and faux 3-piece back. The bodice closes in the center front with functional buttons and buttonholes. The ¼" royal-blue glass buttons are hand-painted in a floral design in pink and green and rimmed in gold. The open coat sleeves are trimmed with a band of 1½" wide black silk velvet ribbon. The dress is fully-lined in brown glazed cotton. There is a blue silk facing in the lower half of the sleeves. The skirt has directional pleats facing the center front on the front of the skirt and stepped box pleats in the back. A peacock blue wool hem braid finishes the lower edge of the skirt.
