The outer body of the sash is made of alternating stripes of red, white and blue cotton cloth. Along one edge there is a fringe of twisted red, white and blue wool. The sash is lined with a light polished cotton material. There is some minor staining to the lining from age, storage and use. Sash is held closed by a hook and eye at bottom front. Also in this area is a red, white and blue cockade with a silver bullion and sequence star at center. There are few areas where the border has come loose and there is only one small moth nip near the cockade otherwise item is in very good condition.
