Ca. 1898. Maker mark: Ironstone china / Nassau. White one-handled ironstone pitcher; with hand painted crossed U. S. & Cuban Flags with cursive inscription - "Remember the Maine Feb 15/98" in .375" gilt lettering, with gold wash around upper lip. Pitcher measures 7.25" in height, 6" in circumference at middle, 4.5" handle. The glazed flags and inscription slightly worn and fading, with small horizontal flag through the flags. Bears remnants of the original gold trim. Else VG. Very attractive. Handsome Span-Am display piece.
