This is a black leather holster made for revolvers. The leather still shows the faint “profile” of a revolver cylinder and barrel. A .31 caliber “pocket” model Colt fits into this holster.
The holster “pocket” measures 8” along its front edge. Holster is made of a single piece of black bridle leather folded and sewn together down the back seam. A 1” wide belt loop is sewn to the back side. The leather plug that originally closed the end of the holster is long gone. There are no makers stamps.
A closing tab is sewn to the flap and remains unbroken. This tab once slid through a narrow loop sewn to the face of the holster. That loop is gone.
In overall very good condition, this holster shows use. Entire leather body shows crazing but no loss of the surface finish.
This is a good, military-style flap holster that would accommodate a smaller revolver. [jet] [ph:L]
