This black leather holster is in good condition. The leather shows light wear from age, storage and use. The flap has the correct brass snap with a slight build-up of verdigris around the edges. Flap is embossed with a good “USN” in an oval.
The body of the holster is in good shape. The leather is strong and retains almost all of its original finish with minor wear on edges. Original plug is still present at the bottom of the barrel sleeve. Side seam stitching is still good and tight. Reverse has original belt loop held in place by three iron rivets. Loop is solid but beginning to pull loose from rivets.
This is a rare item in overall good condition.
