M1879 .45/70 accoutrement is an original, Indian War period McKeever black leather cartridge box in good condition. Marked “Watervliet Arsenal” on back of the closure tab. Brass oval box plate “NJ” secured to outer flap. Holds 20 rounds of .45/70 caliber rounds for the trapdoor longarm.
