This pistol cartridge box is in a remarkably nice condition given its age. All stitching is fully intact and strong, and the only true signs of use and wear are some folding creases on the outer layer of leather on the outer flap, and some tarnishing of the copper rivets that hold the belt loops to the body of the box. The brass closure finial shows some light tarnishing.
The interior is supple and rich and shows no signs of damage or excessive use. There is little to no common cracking of the leather throughout, it truly is in a very nice condition. A prominent maker’s marking at low center on the front flap reads “J.E. Condiot N.Y.”
If you are looking for a pistol cartridge box to add to your collection, this is certainly one to have. [cm][ph:L]
