The body of the box meas. approx. 6.00 x 4.00 inches with an exterior flap that is slightly larger. The overall condition of the leather is very good.
The face of the outer flap has just a few minor scratches but no crazing. Edges of the flap have light scattered wear. Latch tab is held to the underside of the flap by a single line of stitching only and fastens over a pear-shaped lead finial.
Interior flap is in matching good condition but it has only one of the two ears.
The body of the box is excellent and has two belt loops sewn to the back.
A close examination of the box shows the body was made of buff leather while the flap, tabs and loops are bridle leather. [ad] [ph:L]
