Indian War issue, ca. 1880s Black leather box w/ embossed “US” front flap, interior pocket stitched to contain twenty .45-70 cartridges, plus compartment (right side) for gun tool. Brass finial, lower hinged brass rod. Outer leather exhibits light cracking. Reverse belt loops excellent. Overall VG. Solid and collectible. [jp]
