Leather exterior in nice condition. Leather is smooth and clean with only light surface crazing. Outer flap has crisp “US” stamping.
The back of the box has gentile surface wear patterns from slight use. Both belt loops on back are in matching good condition. Top center of back has a light stamping of an oval where the arsenal mark would be but there is no name visible. Also, one belt loop is stamped with “W.D.B. while the other is marked “W. L. F.”
Brass finial with brass escutcheon closure device is attached to the front.
Interior is lined with brown lamb’s wool.
