Built for the .30-.40 Krag cartridge, this box has been modified for cadet use. Original reverse belt loops have been by ribbed brass plates. The embossed oval “US” on flap has brass numeral “71” attached over it. Box interior contains twenty linen cartridge loops, accompanied with “F F” stamping. Leather is smooth and supple with tight stitching. Solid Span-Am era cartridge box collectible. [jp]
