Leather baldric used for wearing the NCO or Musician sword. The leather of the baldric measures approximately 2” wide with a sewn leather belt loop on one end and a series of holes on the other for adjusting length.
To be worn over the right shoulder with the slot for the sword designed to rest against the left hip. The sword (and scabbard) fits through the aperture and hangs by a hook at the scabbard throat; a hole in the aperture is for the hook.
The length of the baldric is adjusted by a specifically designed eagle breast plate with three hooks like a waist belt plate. This rig comes with a tradition eagle breast plate (with two loops) serving in place of the correct three-pronged plate.
Leather remains supple and exhibits moderate to heavy use and wear. [jet] [ph:L]
