MODEL 1832 ARTILLERY SWORD BELT AND FROG WITH BUCKLE

$875.00 ON HOLD
Originally $1,250.00

Quantity Available: 1

Item Code: 344-920

White buff leather belt that is slightly stiff with heavy surface dirt from age and storage. One of the sections has a 1.50 inch piece of leather missing on one edge. One end of the belt passes through the belt plate keeper and is sewn down. This thread has rotted. The other end also passes through a keeper and is sewn. This thread is holding but some of the leather is worn through. Despite these small problems the plate remains securely in place. The plate is made of two round discs connected by an “S” hook. One disc has a spread winged eagle at center while the other has a “US.” The frog for the short sword is torn from the top edge to the hole for the scabbard stud. Again, despite the minor problems the belt is complete. [ad] [ph:L]
