Brown leather sling made for use on the Pattern 1853 Enfield musket. Leather shows some very light signs of age and use but is still soft and pliable. One end has a sewn leather belt loop while the opposite end has a brass hook for adjusting size.
Sling looks to be crudely made. The brass hook on one end is longer than usual and crudely cast while the sewn loop was sloppily done and is a stitching is a bit crooked. Free sliding keeper is present. [ad][ph:L]
