This is the officer’s dress sword knot, and is a woven bullion ribbon folded over upon itself to create a 12” long strap that terminates in a woven bullion knot. The piece was secured to a sword hilt and then looped around the officer’s wrist like a lanyard.
The strap is 1/2” wide and very strong. Strap is gold with two black stripes. A single sliding loop is on the strap and also features a black stripe woven in. The knot on the bottom is made in the same fashion with a gold and black mix.
All gold bullion remains clean and bright. This sword knot is in very good condition. [jet]
