NICE MATCHED SET OF CIVIL WAR USMC SHAKO INSIGNIA

$295.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 198-707

This is the shield and half wreath worn by the Marines even before the Civil War.  Missing is the brass horn and the letter M but a reproduction one has been added. The shield is die struck and made of brass as is the half wreath. There are no hooks on either piece.

Both pieces show a matching patina and have been together for some time.

Early Marine Corps insignia of any kind is rare and desirable.
