This US Navy belt plate with remnant of a leather belt attached measures 4.5 inches long and 2 inches wide. 1880's-1920's Navy Officer's plate with narrow tongue on back. Opposite end of belt would have had the second piece of the plate which was the brass keeper but that is obviously missing.
