This is the late Civil War-era / early Indian War-era officer’s belt buckle. Cast brass eagle buckle with brass wreath. The brass buckle is clean and bright. This has the wide 1-inch wide hook on back. No bench mark; no keeper. Measures 50mm tall. The detail of the eagle remains very good. A very nice officer’s belt plate. [jet] [ph:L]
