This plate was meant to be worn on the sling of the drum and to hold the drumsticks when not in use.
The front of the plate is made of a sheet of thin brass with clipped corners. Mounted to the front by four copper rivets are two cylindrical holders through which the drumsticks pass. These cylinders are slightly narrower than a drumstick and friction holds the sticks in place. Cylinders have a ribbed decorative motif.
Reverse has an applied three prong attachment. [ad]
