This rectangular waist-belt plate is similar to the one prescribed for officers but this one has an applied silver wreath that extends above the eagle’s wings. The silver wreath shows it is meant for use by NCOs.
The face is very clean and shows little wear. The keeper does show some signs of light discoloration but overall the face retains some of its original luster. Plate has a decided convex shape.
Reverse is clean with the correct small tongue. Both edges of the reverse have a line of small casting flaws that look like dimples. These are not visible on the front. There is also a bench mark of #144.”
Plate does not appear to have been cleaned.
