Rosettes are stamped brass with an intertwined “USA” on the face and a brass bar on the reverse for attaching to the headstall.
Both bear a museum accession number on the reverse. Also, one of the bits has “M1863 ARTILLERY” written in light black ink on the reverse edge so it will not show when displayed.
