CDV of an engraving of Abraham Lincoln with his wife Mary seated beside him. His eldest son, Robert, stands behind him while his younger son Tad stands by his side. In the upper right corner of the image you can see a frame and a portion of young Willie, the Lincolns’ other young son who died in the White House in 1862 (all of Willie’s picture is visible in a full version of the engraving). The engraving was made from the famous 1864 Anthony Berger photograph of Lincoln and Tad. Mary, Robert, and the departed Willie were added later by the engraver. No photographer’s mark on reverse.
