IN A LETTER TO A FRIEND.” Title page also informs the reader that this is a second edition that has been revised and improved with a plan of the town showing the burnt portion. Published in Philadelphia in 1864.
This hardcover volume measures approximately 5” x 7 ¾” and runs 76 pages with two unpaginated advertisements in the rear. Covers are a textured dark green. I very good condition with embossed short title in gold on the front.
Pencil inscription on inside reads: “To Mrs. Governor Curtin / With kind regards from her old friend / Jim Anthony / Nov 27th 1864”. Interior is well bound with clean pages with the exception of a water stain along the center gutter. [jp]
