This CDV shows a framed oval memorial to the 20th Illinois Infantry. I includes a piece of the regiments flag and a list of all engagements of the regiment. No doubt the original framed piece was hung in a G.A.R. hall.
Image is clear and fairly readable. Mount has trimmed corners. Photographer's backmark, R.L. Smith's, Austin, Minn.
This is from the late William Turner collection. [jet] [ph:L]
