Fruit jar produced by Whitall, Tatum & Company of Millville, New Jersey. This jar was produced in various sizes, this being a 48 ounce size. Jar stands 8” tall. Diameter of base is 4”. Has “WHITALL’S PATENT JUNE 18TH 1861” in raised letters on the front. Back side reads, “MILLVILLE ATMOSPHERIC FRUIT JAR”. Aqua in color. Minor chip along edge of lip, otherwise excellent! [sl]
