Image is mounted on gray stock that has remained in good condition over the years. The lower right corner is embossed with “W. H. TIPTON…GETTYSBURG.” The size of the mount is approx. 10.00 x 12.00 inches. The actual image size is approx. 7.25 x 9.25. The shot was taken from Baltimore Street looking east. In the foreground are approx. 26 men in civilian suits and Post Office uniforms standing on the marble steps of the old Post Office. The building and marble columns fill the background. This building still stands on Baltimore Street but is now the Public Library. The image is clear with good contrast and is marked in small script on the left front “29207, MAY 2, 1914, TIPTON PHOTO.”
