Book is titled “THE REBEL INVASION OF MARYLAND & PENNSYLVANIA AND BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG” by M. Jacobs who was a Professor at Gettysburg College. Book meas. approx. 4.75 x 7.50 inches and runs 47 pages. The front of the book has a full color foldout map of the Battle of Gettysburg that is in very good condition and the very first page of the work has a period imprint of a Harrisburg bookstore. Book is solid and can be read. Covers are of brown cloth with stamped gold lettering. All pages have moderate foxing but all are very readable. The author was in Gettysburg at the time of the battle and witnessed most of what he relates in the book.
