This originally had a top bar with a ribbon but it is missing. This is the bottom section of the medal only. Bar reads “REPRESENTATIVE.” Disc attached to bar has some light wear to its surface. At center is a bust engraving of Thomas H. Cole, Commandant. This is inscribed around the medals edge. The reverse is inscribed “47th ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT DEPT. OF PENNA. G.A.R. GETTYSBURG, JUNE 1913.” This was also the year of the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.
