This spherical shot was recovered in the fields just below Devil’s Den, which hosted the attack of Hood’s Division.
Weighing at a correct 6lbs and measuring 3.67”, this artillery round has been painted with a light coat of green to brown paint meant to prevent further rust and corrosion. As such, the condition is dug, with typical pitting. The piece is not flaking and remains in an excellent relic condition.
A chance to own a piece of battle history, from one of the field’s most popular locations.
Ex-Al Flickinger collection. [cm][ph:L]
