This guide hat is the style worn during the 1930’s - 1950’s. The hat is ventilated and the hole at the center top is reinforced on the inside to support the numbered wreath cap badge that replaced the previous guide badge in use since 1915. The hat is size 7 3/8 and was purchased from the Swope estate in Gettysburg. It shows wear typical of use but is in overall good condition. [DM][ph:L]
