The spread eagle pin clutching a saber over crossed cannons and cannonballs was used for GAR medals. The pin back reads Pat. May 4, 1886 June 22. 1886 above an unusual maker’s logo of a bag suspended over what appears to be a fire. The red, white and blue ribbon sewn to the eagle pin is stamped Rhode Island in gold and written on the back in faded ink is “Reunion of Gettysburg July 1-5 1913”. Measures 1.5” wide x 7.25” long. In very good condition with top pin still firmly attached. [DM][ph:L]
