The monument was dedicated on February 22, 1892. The Gettysburg Junior Band is present in the foreground. The dedication address at the well attended event was given by prominent Gettysburgian the Honorable Edward McPherson. The image is 13” x 16.5”. Frame size is 16.25” x 19.25”. Backing board may have been trimmed to fit antique frame. Stains along the bottom of board do not show on the image. The building is located on 53 East Middle St and was originally built in 1822 as a Methodist church. Today it serves as headquarters for Historic Gettysburg Adams County Preservation Society.
