Mount is peach colored with “MUMPER & CO. GETTYSBURG, PA.” on one side and “BATTLEFIELD PHOTOGRAPHER’S” on the other.
View is looking in a northeasterly direction from a battery position towards the tower which once stood where the equestrian monument to General Hancock now stands. There are four guns in the photo and all but one are mounted on iron carriages.
Image clear but the paper is slightly toned with moderate surface dirt and scattered foxing. Mount is the same.
Reverse has a handwritten caption in period ink that reads incorrectly “#164 ARTILLERY REDOUBTS ON ROUNDS.” [ad] [PH:L]
