Souvenir hand fan to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg held in 1938.
Overall, fan is in very good condition with some fading. The fan has double sided prints. On one side, there is a scene from Pickett’s Charge and three smaller images of General Mead’s Headquarters, the Lincoln Speech Memorial, and General Lee’s Headquarters. On the opposite side are three maps outlining the battle trajectory of July 1, 2 and 3. There is a copywrite located below the First Days Battle Map that reads “OSBORN- BIGLERVILLE, PA.”
The crest of the fan measures approximately 16 ½”. Caution does need to be heeded when opening fan because while it opens smoothly it has some resistance. [mc][ph:L]
