Vintage iron bank features an applied image of a soldier in blue uniform leaning on a broken fence post while aiming his musket. Raised wording below reads, “100TH ANNIVERSARY BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG”. Reverse of bank reads, “JULY 1,2, 3, 1863. GEN. MEADE 97000 MEN, GEN. LEE 75000 MEN, 23000 -CASUALTIES – 28000 / COMMEMORATIVE BANK”.
Bank measures 7 ¼” wide by 5” tall by 3 ½” deep. Quite heavy, weighing nearly 5 lbs. Bank is made from a two-piece mold and painted gray. A lone coin remains inside of bank. [sl][ph:L]
